Scent of the Day : Green Irish Tweed

Creed's Green Irish Tweed

Creed's masterpiece or at least what people are saying. Almost everyone needs to try this once in a lifetime. I am sampling it as we speak for the 3rd stage of my review on GIT. I am working extra hard on this scent to make sure I hit it right on the mark once I do review it. This scent is great at the moment it's warm almost humid around here and GIT is radiating off my skin beautifully. I am enjoying my scent of the day today :D are you ?

2 New Random Purchases Overseas

DKNY Be Delicious Men & Ralph Lauren Polo Black Purchased

* Had some time overseas and found a place with authentic fragrances which did not have much choices but good prices. I did not want to go overboard so I told myself two fragrances and I picked the two I thought not much people have. I don't own too many Ralph Lauren or DKNY so I decided to get these two.

* I don't have have high expectations for either to be honest with you guys. Both did not last on my skin at all. Both have good top notes and smell great off the bat but they dissapear. As a footnote the DKNY apple sprayers still suck and feel cheap.

My Scent of The Day : Frederic Malle's Bigarade Concentree

Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle's Bigarade Concentree

What's a hot summer day without a citrus fragrance to cool you down ? Well Mr. Ellena's latest masterpiece for Frederic Malle might be my next purchase from this fragrance house. This is probably one of the best citrus fragrances I have ever encountered. Thank you Mr. Ellena for another masterpiece in perfumery. This is of course a Buy in my eyes even tho the price tag is pretty high for a summer fragrance.

The Winner of the Subscriber's Choice is...

Once I get back in August this will be the fragrance that I will be reviewing for my first subscriber's choice. Creed's Himalaya !!! My Scent of The Day : Le Labo's Rose 31

Le Labo's Rose 31

Before purchasing Rose 31 I did get a small sample which I brought with me on my trips. I decided to wear it today to bring back the memories of this beautiful scent. The more I wear this the more I enjoy it. Rose 31 feels very dry when worn this time which I did not get from previous use. It felt almost peppery & a dry wood (cedar-like) obviously blended with the rose. After looking at the note breakdown to see if there is pepper or cedar in the note breakdown I actually see both in it so perhaps I finally found what Rose 31 is all about. I really am enjoying this scent more then I thought I would. Obviously this is a Buy for me as far as my Buy Try or Pass goes since I already own a bottle of this. Perhaps a little pricey for what you get but otherwise I do not regrett getting this.

My Scent of The Day : Heeley's Cuir Pleine Fleur

Heeley Cuir Pleine Fleur
My Very First Scent of the Day while I am away or shall I say my very first sample of my 100's of samples is another Heeley fragrance. I have been in love with this company since I first discovered Menthe Fraiche. I decided to get samples of the whole line. This one is a leather based fragrance and I must say I am impressed.

All Heeley's are EDP's which make these things really last on my skin and actually project very very well and this one is no slouch. This is a real amazing take on leather, it has obviously a leather note not only that but some floral & some woods (almost like birch ! oh wait it's in the note breakdown well there we go). It projected really well and garnered a compliment almost right away in the morning, since it was pretty warm it was projecting pretty darn well . To me this would be a great cool weather frag but it did it's job in the summer heat. Great overall fragrance, on my Buy,Try or Pass scale this is going onto my BUY list. Beautiful leather scent that can not be missed.

My First Blog Away from Home...from the airport

So as always I get a few bottles from the Duty Free shops out of the country. Usually I go to duty free and buy what's new on the market.

This time I eyed Lacoste Essential Sport (yes it was there), Gucci by Gucci Sport, Hermes Voyage & Burberry Sport. That was basically it as far as new fragrances at this duty free. So slim pickings so I picked.

Gucci By Gucci Sport was an obvious choice for warmer weather. I love the original bottle and this one will look nice beside it. I hear it's the best of the sports so I went with it. Next was Voyage by Hermes. I like this one I did not know it was a refillable bottle and a great travel bottle. So I can't wait to try out Mr. Ellenas's newest fragrance for Hermes.

I was eyeing other older Hermes bottles since they did have the Pamplemousse Rose & the Orange Verte bottles, but decided to go with the two newbies. I am thinking of getting that Burberry Sport also once I get a chance to get my hands on it next.
